The people around the table

Meet our members

Our members bring different experiences, questions, and gifts to one shared table. Together they help create a club where hospitality is warm, learning is serious, and play stays in perspective.

Two community members meeting in a gesture of welcome and friendship
01

Christian Chapword

Christian helps hold the club’s reflective rhythm, bringing patient questions to classes and calm perspective to player meetings.

Members are invited to ask questions, listen without interruption, and make decisions at a pace that protects their wellbeing. Every gathering is built around clear expectations and considerate hosts.

02

Anna-Maria Grace

Anna-Maria is known for thoughtful welcomes and a practical commitment to making first visits comfortable and easy to understand.

A proactive approach includes planned limits, regular pauses, honest conversation, and the freedom to step away. Participation is always a choice.

03

Michelle Grace

Michelle brings energy to community events and believes every table becomes better when people are encouraged to listen as carefully as they play.

We value conversation, friendship, patience, and mutual care above competition or financial outcomes. A healthy gathering leaves people feeling respected and connected.

04

Steward Grace

Steward supports fair formats and clear explanations, helping experienced players share knowledge without making newcomers feel tested.

Good play depends on transparent rules and truthful communication. Hosts can explain a session and introduce guests to other attendees.

05

Nicole McCallum

Nicole values the friendships built between sessions and champions the small acts of care that turn attendance into genuine belonging.

Community is made through practical advice, quiet encouragement, and friendships that extend beyond a card table. No one needs to navigate uncertainty alone.

06

Alyson Rosenbard

Alyson encourages reflective decision-making and helps keep wellbeing, reasonable limits, and personal responsibility visible in club conversation.

Choosing a limit is an act of confidence. We normalize breaks, stopping early, declining a game, and asking for support when play no longer feels healthy.

07

Oliver Treaths

Oliver enjoys the strategic side of cards while reminding us that curiosity and good humour matter far more than a perfect result.

Learning is ongoing: strategy can be studied, judgement can mature, and habits can change. Members at every experience level are welcome to stay curious.
